Job dans la Ville is launching its mentor recruitment campaign for the 2026–2027 school year.
Working professionals, entrepreneurs, recent retirees, and experts from all walks of life are invited to share their experience with young people supported by the “organization.”
A commitment of just a few hours a month that can have a lasting impact on their career path, their transition into the workforce, and their confidence in the future.
A Call for Mentors to Support Young People in Building Their Future
Through the “ Job dans la Ville ” program, we are convinced that a single encounter can change the course of a young person’s life. Mentoring allows young people to benefit from personalized guidance from a dedicated professional who is ready to share their experience, advice, and knowledge of the working world.
Every year, hundreds of young people supported by the “organization ” take advantage of this special relationship to build their self-confidence, develop their skills, plan their career paths, or ease their transition into the job market.
To meet the growing needs of its young beneficiaries, Job dans la Ville is now accepting applications for its mentoring programs for the 2026–2027 school year.

Three mentoring programs to meet the needs of young people
1 – Young Talents: Improve Your English and Broaden Your Global Perspective
The Program Young Talents program is designed for students and recent graduates who wish to improve their English skills and broaden their international perspective.
The mentor works with a young person during a weekly 45-minute video conference session, conducted entirely in English. These regular conversations help students improve their oral fluency, expand their vocabulary, and build confidence in an academic or professional setting.
the objectives
- Improve spoken English;
- Build confidence in public speaking;
- Promote international outreach;
- Highlight the student's strengths for their academic pursuits and future career.
Mentor's Commitment
- 45 minutes per week via videoconference;
- Minimum commitment of 3 months;
- Support may be extended for up to 1 year.
2 – Employment Mentoring for Recent Graduates: Facilitating Access to Employment
The " Emploi Jeunes Diplômés " program is designed for recent graduates with at least two years of post-secondary education who are looking for work.
The mentor guides them in developing their career entry strategy and helps them better understand the expectations of the job market. Drawing on their experience, the mentor helps them highlight the value of their background and build their confidence in their efforts.

- Optimize your resume, cover letters, and LinkedIn profile;
- Prepare for job interviews;
- How to Structure an Effective Job Search;
- Develop and engage a professional network;
- Build young people's self-confidence and independence.
Mentor's Commitment
- At least two appointments per month;
- Minimum commitment of 6 months;
- Support may be extended for up to 1 year.
3 – Confiance Pro: Discover the professional world and build confidence
The Confiance Pro program helps high school and college students explore the world of work and develop their career goals.
Through regular conversations, the mentor helps the young person get to know themselves better, identify their strengths, discover inspiring career paths, and envision their professional future.

- Build self-confidence and ambition;
- Understanding the expectations of the workplace;
- How to Better Plan Your Career Path;
- Get advice from an experienced professional.
Mentor's Commitment
- 2 hours of discussion per month;
- Commitment for the school year;
- May be renewed for up to 1 year.

For the Young Talents program
1. Apply online
Please fill out the registration form and provide information about your background, your English proficiency, and your availability.

2. Prepare your side dish
You'll receive all the information, tools, and best practices you need to confidently facilitate discussions with your mentee.
3. Meet your mentee
An initial videoconference meeting is scheduled with the young person and a program advisor to get the mentoring relationship off to the best possible start.
For the "Emploi Jeunes Diplômés" and "Confiance Pro" programs

Please describe your background, your professional experience, and your motivations.

2. Participate in the mandatory training
A 90-minute online training course, “ ,” is offered by the team at Job dans la Ville to help participants learn the fundamentals of mentoring and the role of a mentor.
Applicants must also submit their Criminal Record Certificate No. 3.
3. Meet your mentee
An initial meeting is held with a representative from Job dans la Ville to define the goals of the support and establish a framework of trust for the pair.
Support provided throughout the entire process
Job dans la Ville 's teams remain available throughout the mentoring process to support the pairs, answer their questions, and ensure that the interactions run smoothly.
Each mentor thus benefits from a structured framework, dedicated resources, and regular follow-up to ensure a meaningful, rewarding, and enriching experience.
