Applications are now open to join the next cohort of the Starter program Entrepreneurs dans la Ville. In Paris, Lyon, and Lille, this free six-month program helps project leaders turn their ideas into concrete entrepreneurial ventures.

Created in 2007 by Sport dans la Ville, in partnership with emlyon business school, the program Entrepreneurs dans la Ville supports entrepreneurial talent from neighborhoods designated as urban policy priority areas (QPV) as they establish and grow their businesses.

His goal: to make entrepreneurship more accessible and to offer support tailored to the different stages of a project.

Entrepreneurs dans la Ville It is structured around several tracks: Starter, Incubation, and Acceleration, complemented by an alumni community that allows participants to continue exchanging ideas, expand their networks, and take advantage of new opportunities beyond the programs.

The Starter: The First Step in Turning an Idea into a Project

Entrepreneurs dans la Ville 's Starter program provides free support for six months to people who want to start a business but are still at the idea stage or in the early stages of their project.

At a pace of two days per week (300 hours total), participants develop their skills, test their ideas in the field, structure their projects, and lay the groundwork for a viable business model: understanding customers, defining their offering, testing their concept, and preparing for launch.

The program combines group support with individual follow-up through:

workshops to learn the basics of entrepreneurship;

practical exercises to test your project;

personalized coaching;

discussions with experts;

a promotional strategy that encourages the sharing of experiences and the expansion of the network.

This collaborative aspect also allows participants to compare their experiences with those of other entrepreneurs, learn from one another, and build a network that will be useful as the project moves forward.

The next promotion for the Starter Entrepreneurs dans la Ville will be offered in three cities: Paris, Lyon, and Lille.

Across these three regions— Sport dans la Ville —and its partners aim to provide emerging entrepreneurial talent from priority neighborhoods with tailored support to help them develop their projects and prepare for their launch.

Who can join the Starter program?

The Starter program is designed for people who have an idea or an entrepreneurial project and want guidance on how to build a solid foundation for it.

The " Entrepreneurs dans la Ville " program is designed for young entrepreneurs from neighborhoods designated as priority areas under urban policy (QPV). The program is completely free for selected entrepreneurs.

You don’t need to have already started a business: the Starter program is specifically designed to help you through the early stages, test an idea, and gradually lay the groundwork for a viable project.
