Opening of the New Sports Center in Rezé-Château
Rezé: A New Field to Help Young People Achieve Their Ambitions
On Wednesday, September 16, Sport dans la Ville opened its second sports center in the Pays de la Loire region, in the heart of the Château neighborhood in Rezé. This new location marks an important milestone in theorganization ’s expansion in the Nantes area and in its mission to help young people achieve success through sports.
A Renovated Facility Serving Local Youth
Located on Place Jean-Perrin, the Château-Sud sports complex has undergone a complete renovation to become a true hub for sports, socializing, and community building. Designed as a neighborhood facility, it offers local residents an accessible space to freely participate in sports and come together for activities that bring people together.
Through this new location, Sport dans la Ville is making a long-term commitment to the neighborhood’s youth. The teams at the “organization ” will offer free, regular sports sessions (on Wednesdays and Saturdays), led by certified instructors, to help everyone thrive, build confidence, and develop essential skills for their future.
Much more than just a sports field
As with all locations where the “organization ” is active, this new sports center is intended to serve as a gateway to more comprehensive support. Through the various programs offered by “ Sport dans la Ville,” young people will receive ongoing support over the years as they pursue their academic, professional, and entrepreneurial paths.
Beyond sports, the goal is to create a community space that fosters connections, openness, engagement, and equal opportunities. This approach is fully aligned with the educational and social initiatives already being promoted by local community leaders.
A Collective Effort to Support Youth
The inauguration brought together numerous institutional, nonprofit, and business partners united by a shared conviction: to provide more opportunities for young people in the region.
