Created in 1998, Sport dans la Ville has become the main France’s leading organization for integration through sport in France. Sport dans la Ville is a successful example of social entrepreneurship: all the programs set up by Sport dans la Ville now promote the social and professional integration of 7,000 young people who are members of the organization. The Organization is supported by companies and public funding (Ministries, Regions, Cities).
Working in tandem with an educator, your tasks are as follows:
- Lead mixed-gender basketball training sessions and instill the values of good character and dedication that are essential to young people’s success.
- Track attendance and ensure that participants attend the sessions.
- Provide session content that is relevant to the team, enabling the young people to make progress in their behavior (emotional regulation, openness to new activities, a spirit of mutual support and solidarity).
- Maintain a supportive and caring attitude in all circumstances (active listening, conflict resolution, etc.).
- Organize and supervise events (partner soccer games, tournaments, introductory sessions, etc.).
- Managing relationships with certain families (individual meetings, family and youth events, etc.).
- Dynamic, rigorous, respectful and caring, you know how to respect your commitments.
- Desired experience in coaching and leading a sport such as soccer
- Recognized for your interpersonal skills with young people and your ability to manage a group, you would like to make your contribution to an associative and social project, as well as being an ambassador for theorganization.
- STAPS degree / Brevet d'état / BPJEPS APT or Sports Collectifs
- Hourly pay according to diploma and experience
